Judith Sayers, First Nation run of river hydro trailblazer

Judith Sayers is the former chief of the Hupacasath First Nation on the west coast of Vancouver Island near Port Alberni. When she was chief she negotiated the construction of a 6.5 megawatt run of river project that met high environmental standards and ensured the First Nation had a majority ownership stake.
