The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) launched their National Climate Strategy at Parliament Hill. Endorsed at the AFN Annual General Assembly in July 2023.  This strategy is the culmination of collective work from many First Nations nationwide over the past four years. The AFN National Climate Strategy has introduced the First Nations Climate Lens, which is a four-part approach to understanding the connection between Natural Law, the climate effects on First Nations, climate actions, and the overall climate landscape. The First Nations Climate Lens emphasizes the leadership of First Nations in pushing for transformational change.
