FNLC Emergency All-Chiefs Meeting on Proposed Amendments to DRIPA and the Interpretation Act

On January 30, 2026, the Province provided a discussion paper on proposed options for amendments to DRIPA and the Interpretation Act.

On January 29, 2026, the Province sent notification letters to all BC First Nations notifying of the proposed amendments. The intent of this meeting is for BC Chiefs and Leaders to review the Province’s proposal and provide space to discuss and determine a pathway forward related to the Province’s proposal.

This virtual meeting (online via Zoom) will take place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
