Election of a member for the Board of Director position at the BC Assembly of First Nations Annual General Meeting on September 19, 2019 (“Election Day”) to be held in Vancouver, BC. The deadline to submit a complete Candidate Package is before midnight on August 5, 2019.
Nominations for Board of Directors
If you wish to nominate a Board of Director candidate for the upcoming election:
- Members of the BCAFN, as represented by the Chief or designate as recorded on the BCAFN Membership List, may nominate candidates for the Board of Directors.
- All nominations must have the support of five (5) members of the BCAFN as represented by the Chief or Chief’s designate as recorded on the BCAFN Membership List.
The Electoral Officer must receive nominations no later than midnight on August 5, 2019, and must be accompanied by:
- A completed Nomination Acceptance Form and;
- A one-page profile of the nominee.
Board of Directors Candidate Eligibility
A candidate for a seat on the Board must be nominated by no less than five (5) members. Candidates for a seat on the Board must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, of First Nations ancestry and be a member delegate.
