BCAFN is seeking feedback to engage First Nations title and rights holders in the development of the First Nations Climate Leadership Agenda (FNCL Agenda in BC). From April to July 2024, BCAFN will host a series of regional engagement activities across BC to foster discussions and identify key priority actions and recommendations to the federal government for implementing and advancing the BC FNCL Agenda while ensuring inherent rights guiding are upheld. In BC, the FNCL Agenda will complement the work undertaken by the First Nations Leadership Council (FNLC) to implement the BC First Nations Climate Strategy and Action Plan's pathways and actions. Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society British Columbia Chapter seeks 25 youth ages 18-30 to participate in the Young Leaders in Conservation Program. This program aims to bring diverse youth together to build meaningful connections and skills and provide opportunities to advocate for BC conservation issues to help ultimately shape environmental policy. |

Canada's plan for long-term managment of used nuclear fuel is under adaptive phased management. AFN is interested in receiving feed back on nuclear fuel, transportation, and storage in Canada. This dialogue series allows for First Nations to learn new updates and provide feedback for AFN to better advocate for First Nations' involvement in decisions about nuclear fuel activities across Turtle Island. |

The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) will host its 3rd National Climate Gathering, Catalyzing First Nations Climate and Conservation Leadership for Transformative Change, endorsing the AFN National Climate Strategy and reaffirming the declaration of a First Nations Climate Emergency. The Strategy contains seven priority areas, alongside 108 strategies and actions. |
The Watershed Security Fund (WSF) program supports projects and initiatives that advance the resiliency of watersheds while adhering to a framework of reconciliation and collaborative relationships to steward the restoration and conservation of healthy watersheds. |
The funds are split into 3 streams: - Headwaters up to $50,000: Smaller projects or project design, research, planning or initial partner conversations & readiness building.
- Creek up to $150,000: Medium-scale implementation and shovel-ready projects includes community engagement, research planning, partnership project detailed research planning, partnership, and project development.
- Stream up to $500,000: Larger scale: Partnerships in place, plans and projects or initiatives well developed and redy for implementation.

The Indigenous Food Security and Sovereignty (IFS) Grant provides non-repayable funding to communities and organizations wanting to develop or expand their Indigenous food systems, including innovation for sustainability and growth of Indigenous agriculture and food sovereignty. |
