On December 20, 2021, 13 First Nation delegates from across Canada will gather with Pope Francis at the Vatican to seek an apology and reparations for the survivors and families of the Indian Residential Schools system.
This November 26, 2021 meeting is intended to provide an opportunity for BC First Nations leadership to shape key messages to be delivered to the Holy Father. The meeting is also opportunity for further dialogue in follow up from August 11, 2021, BC Indian Residential School Support and Coordination Meeting.
