The BC Assembly of First Nations (BCAFN) will be hosting a Special Chiefs Assembly Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 12:00 (noon) to 1:00 PM. The event will be held in-person only in Vancouver during the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Annual General Assembly to be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, 1055 Canada Place, Level 1 – room 109.
This Special Chiefs Assembly will be held to discuss and adjust the BC Assembly of First Nations’ Constitution and Bylaws. Go to the BCAFN events website for more details and updates.
The BCAFN is committed to fiscal responsibility, reducing barriers, and ensuring First Nations in BC have the opportunity to engage. We will provide a travel subsidy for up to $500.00 for Chiefs and Proxies to attend the Special Chiefs Assembly. Upon conclusion of the session and confirmation of attendance, travel claim forms will be provided to participants for eligible travel reimbursement.
