As part of the BCAFN’s mandate to support Indigenous climate leadership in BC to reduce carbon emissions while enhancing economic independence, we will host a webinar to share information on opportunities to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in First Nation communities.

The purpose of the webinar is to provide information on provincial programs to reduce carbon emissions in the transportation sector and connect communities and local economies by building a clean transportation network across BC. In particular, this webinar will focus on how a First Nation can go about installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and access provincial funding from the CleanBC Go Electric Program and the CleanBC Go Electric Public Charger Program.

The CleanBC Go Electric Public Charger Program aims to fill current gaps in the public fast charging network in B.C. such as Indigenous communities, rural and northern areas, and city centers (due to long wait times). Additional funding is available for Indigenous Communities.
